Competitor tracking
Track your owned domain alongside the competitors your plan supports, then compare their separate reports and histories over time.
Main domain and managed competitors
Your main domain is the owned brand you manage. Each competitor URL is saved as a separate tracked domain with its own report records and optional weekly-report setting.
Owned main domain
The primary brand you track. It is the default target for your recurring reports while access is active.
Managed competitor domain
A separate URL that can have its own report history and, when eligible, be included in the weekly scheduled batch.
Competitor slots by plan
| Plan | Competitor slots | Scheduled targets |
|---|---|---|
| Standard / trial | 0 | 1 owned domain |
| Pro | 1 | 1 owned + 1 competitor |
| Max | 5 | 1 owned + up to 5 competitors |
Add or replace a competitor
- 1Open the workspace competitor or Settings area and choose Add URL for an available plan slot.
- 2Enter the competitor’s public website and complete its setup so it has a saved tracking configuration.
- 3Use Change URL when you need to update an existing slot for future reports.
- 4Review the plan’s Add URL and profile-regeneration allowances before deleting or replacing a current competitor.
Changing or deleting a competitor changes future tracking. It does not rewrite reports that were already completed for the previous competitor URL.
When a competitor enters the weekly report
A competitor runs in the weekly batch only when it is active, enabled as a scheduled target, and its slot is permitted by the account’s current plan. This keeps historical records available without silently running domains that are no longer eligible.
History is different from the category leaderboard
Managed competitor tracking gives a saved domain its own report history. Separately, Act 1 can automatically detect brands that appear in the same AI answers and show them in the category leaderboard.
- Use managed competitor history when you want the same domain tracked over recurring periods.
- Use the category leaderboard to understand which brands are visible in the current AI answer set, including brands you do not manage as competitor slots.
